Brittany Andrews complains to stepson Diego Perez about romance novels, claiming that she could write them better. Diego encourages her to write one and Brittany commits to the idea. Weeks later, Diego comes to give feedback on the first draft, but he thinks maybe the novella is TOO realistic - all the lover characters seem to be based on HIM. Although Brittany denies it, there are too many coincidences. It becomes clear that she HAS been using him as inspiration and has feelings for him.
